• The total conformed cases stand at 175,337, from cumulative test samples of 1,866,825.
• The positivity rate was 9.6%, declining from the current third wave. 
• A total of 120,208 have recovered from the disease.
• A total of 3,410 have succumbed to the disease.
• Testing is available at the country's major private hospitals (e.g. Aga Khan Hospital, and Nairobi Hospital), public referral hospitals (e.g. Kenyatta National Hospital) and a number of regional testing centers in the country, plus private laboratories (e.g. Lancent Laboratory).
• The government has set aside a number of specific public facilities in Nairobi and in all other 46 county level 4 and 5 hospitals. More specialized facilities are available in number of private hospitals in Nairobi (i.e. Nairobi hospital, Aga Khan Hospital) and many other national and county hospitals in the country.
• Social interactions and movement is restricted to between 04.00hrs – 20.00hrs, with bars and restaurants required to close by 9:00 p.m., effective November 4, 2020.
• Places of worship have begun phased re-opening in conformity with applicable guidelines developed by the Inter-Faith Council.  The permitted maximum size of religious gatherings is one third (1/3) of its normal sitting capacity, strictly observing Ministry of Health protocols.
• The maximum number of persons permitted to attend funerals and weddings is reviewed upwards to 200, with all in attendance abiding with Ministry of Health Protocols.
• Domestic air travel resumed on July 15, 2020 under Ministry of Health and Transport guidelines.  International flights resumed on August 1, 2020, but on particular routes, but this information is reviewed from time to time depending on the world Covid-19 situation. 
• All schools resumed in-person learning on January 4, 2021 under heightened health and safety measures.  Some universities and colleges opened in-person instruction in September 2020 after meeting strict COVID-19 regulations.

COVID-19 Testing

The nose swab PCR test for COVID-19 is a test used to diagnose people who are currently infected with SARS-CoV-2, which is the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.  Testing is available at the country's major hospitals in Nairobi (Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi Hospital, Kenyatta National Hospital) and private laboratories (Lancet laboratories, Meditest diagnostics) and in a number of regional hospitals.  

The charge for the test is approximately USD 100 (KES 10,000) at private health facilities and USD 50 (KES 5,000) at government hospitals.  Test results are typically available within 24 – 96 hours depending on laboratory and location.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

• Vaccines Received- 1,120,000 - AstraZeneca.
• Vaccinations began on 5th March 2021.
